Aviamasters 2: what changed from the original game

Aviamasters 2 keeps the same idea as the original, a plane collecting multipliers and dodging rockets on the way to a safe landing, but it raises the ceiling from x250 to x1,000. It also moves from low to medium volatility. BGaming released it on 5 March 2026 with the same 97% RTP, four booster symbols and a Safe Landing mode that costs 50x your bet.

Short version: the original suits long, steady sessions with small regular landings, while the sequel suits players who are willing to accept bigger swings in return for a much bigger top prize.

Aviamasters 2 and the original, side by side

Both games share the same core loop and the same 97% RTP. The differences are in the ceiling, the volatility and the extra tools in the air, and together they add up to a noticeably different session even though the screen looks familiar from the first second.

What is new in Aviamasters 2?

Three things are new: a higher x1,000 ceiling, four booster symbols that interfere with rockets and the sea, and a paid Safe Landing mode. The look is calmer too, with an island runway in place of the carrier deck at take-off.

You will notice the boosters first. Each is a pickup in the flight path, and each one targets a way the original game takes your money: rockets, missed items or a splash. Here is what BGaming says each one does.

Aviamasters 2 booster symbols
BoosterWhat it does, per BGamingWhich risk it softens
MagnetAttracts multipliers and can help pull the plane toward a safe landing.Missing the good items and the ship.
Laser GunShoots rockets before they hit the plane.Rocket hits that halve the balance.
NitroRaises the plane's speed and gives temporary protection from rockets.Rocket hits for a short stretch of the flight.
Life BuoyRescues the plane from a water landing by bouncing it back.The splash that ends a good flight at zero.

Boosters sound like pure upside, but the maths still lands at 97%. If rockets are cleared more often, something else in the design has to balance that out, and the move to medium volatility is where you feel it. Expect more dramatic flights with sudden rescues and bigger landings, not a better long-run return on the money you put through the game.

RTP and volatility of each version, plus the max multiplier

Both versions return 97% RTP over the long run, so neither is "cheaper" to play. The difference is how that return arrives. The original pays small amounts often, while the sequel pays less often but can go four times higher.

Put numbers on it. At a 1 CAD stake the original's best round is 250 CAD, and the sequel's best round is 1,000 CAD. Both games cap the maximum win at EUR 250,000, which only matters at high stakes. BGaming also lists a hit rate of 2.50 for the sequel, which in game specs usually means roughly one winning round in every 2.5 rounds on average.

Medium volatility changes what a session feels like. Runs of splashes get longer, and single landings get bigger. For the same budget, lower your stake a little in the sequel if you want the session to last as long as it did in the original.

How to budget for the sequel

The same 97% return with bigger swings means the same average cost per dollar staked, spread less evenly across the evening. A budget that felt comfortable in the original can run dry sooner in the second game, simply because the dry spells between landings are longer.

A practical adjustment: if you played the original at 0.50 CAD with a 100 CAD budget, start the sequel at 0.30 CAD. You still see the same flights and boosters, and the best landing at x1,000 is still 300 CAD, which is more than the original's 125 CAD ceiling at the higher stake. Meanwhile the budget covers 333 losing rounds instead of 200, which gives the medium-volatility swings room to even out.

Use autoplay with a loss stop here too. Boosters make flights look like they are about to turn around, and that feeling is exactly what keeps people pressing play past their limit.

What stays the same in both games

If you already know the original, most of your knowledge carries straight over to the sequel. The plane still starts each round with your stake as the counter balance, plus values still add multiples of that stake, times values still multiply the running total, and a rocket still divides the balance by 2 when it connects.

The round still ends only when the plane comes down, with no cash-out button anywhere on the screen, so the key rule from the first game still holds: a big number above the plane is not yours until it lands. The 4 speeds and the autoplay with stop conditions work the same way, and both games run in a phone browser without any download.

That shared base is why we suggest learning on the original first. Once rockets and landings feel familiar, the sequel's boosters read as twists on rules you already know, not as noise flashing across the screen.

Is Safe Landing worth 50x the stake?

Safe Landing guarantees that the plane lands, but not that you profit. You pay 50x your bet for the round, and the landing pays whatever the counter balance is at that moment, which can be less than the 50x you paid.

Here is a worked example. With a 0.20 CAD base bet, one Safe Landing round costs 10 CAD. If the flight gathers a counter balance of 4 CAD, the plane lands and you receive 4 CAD, a 6 CAD loss on a "guaranteed" round. If it gathers 25 CAD, you are up 15 CAD.

BGaming's page does not list a separate RTP for Safe Landing. If it runs at the game's 97%, each round costs about 1.5 times your base bet on average (3% of the 50x price). The feature removes the splash, not the house edge.

Base betSafe Landing price (50x)Average cost at 97% RTP
0.10 CAD5 CAD0.15 CAD
0.20 CAD10 CAD0.30 CAD

Watch the bonus terms here. Bought features are often excluded while a deposit bonus is active, and a single Safe Landing round at the wrong moment can void it. Read the terms before you press "Activate bonus" with bonus money in your balance.

Which version fits which player?

Choose the original Aviamasters if you like long sessions, small regular landings and a budget that drains slowly. Choose the sequel if you want the chance of a x1,000 landing and you are fine with longer dry spells in between.

Stay with the original if

  • your budget is small and you want many rounds from it;
  • you are still learning how rockets and multipliers interact;
  • you plan to clear a bonus, where steady play helps.

Try the sequel if

  • you want a higher ceiling and accept bigger swings;
  • boosters and the island setting keep you more engaged;
  • you understand that Safe Landing is a price, not a shortcut.

Still torn? Play 50 rounds of each in demo mode at the same stake and write down the balance every 10 rounds. The flatter line is the original, the jumpier one is the sequel; pick the one you would rather live with. Our Aviamasters demo page has a test plan, and the rules guide explains the shared mechanics.
